Director, Investigations and Regulatory Affairs
David Scott Johnson joined Lightstone Solutions in 2009. Mr. Johnson has significant experience in environmental, business, corporate and transactional law. Currently, Mr. Johnson specializes in due diligence investigations, compliance and regulatory guidance in both domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
Mr. Johnson is an experienced regulatory attorney having practiced since 2004. Prior to joining Lightstone Solutions, LLC, Mr. Johnson was with the firm of Gallagher and Kennedy, PA in Phoenix where he provided analysis on a number of environmental regulatory matters including advising companies on remedial and/or removal activities at single party and multi-party Superfund sites including zinc smelters, uranium mines, copper cable facilities, copper mines and tanneries. Mr. Johnson has represented clients regarding remedial and health-related liability in class-action litigation and prepared 104(e) responses regarding historical uranium mining practices. Mr. Johnson has advised clients on the divestiture of corporate subsidiaries, the structuring of joint-ventures to promote growth in the water and wastewater industry and the acquisition of an exclusive licensing agreement to promote a cutting-edge technology for wastewater treatment. Such work has been performed for application in domestic jurisdictions that include Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Jersey, New York, South Dakota, Texas and international jurisdictions that include Cyprus, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice before the State Bars of Arizona, Connecticut and New York.
Education
Mr. Johnson received his Master of Laws in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law (White Plains, NY) in 2006. He received his Juris Doctor from Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) in 2004. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) in 2001.Professional Affiliations
